Fashion Industry Gallery Dallas Sees 50% Increase in Market Traffic
The aftermath of Spring Market in Dallas
Fashion Industry Gallery Dallas calculated a 50% increase in buyer traffic over the previous season. Among the regions of the US to contribute to f.i.g’s success was the Mid-west and the great state of California.
f.i.g caters to contemporary and bridge fashions, jewelry and accessories displaying more than 500 lines. According to Director Emma Greathouse, to enhance the buying experience involved working with their showrooms and designers to provide great perks like a business center, complementary valet parking, and not to mention hundreds of new lines.
With more than 100 retailers who were new to the venue, a majority reported mixed sales results. Business has been challenging, while some have shown a decline in sales, others project significant gain.
“Fall is still challenging,” said Barbara Kille, owner of Turtletique in Dallas, which vends bridge labels to executive and social women. “We’re working hard for the dollar. I am planning my spring pretty much even with last year. I love the newness in knit tops and tunics color, style, fabrication and even shapes. It’s exciting because tops can be dressy, casual or career depending on what you wear them with.”
