Snooki Debut's Children's Slipper Collection...Yeah I'm Talkin' Bout THAT Snooki!

Snooki’s infamous slipper’s soon to come in a WAY smaller size

“Jersey Shore” star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi made an announcement this morning that should come as no surprise…She plans to debut a companion collection of infant and children’s slippers this spring.

The spring time product launch will come at a perfect time for the mother-to-be to shill the public with baby-bump photo ops. Snooki’s licensing partner, Kentucky-based footwear company Happy Feet, expects the series of styles will retail for $15 and will be available on Snookislippers.com.

According to Happy Feet owner Pat Yates, whose company has been producing Snooki adult slippers since spring ’11, the collection will be available primarily on on the brand’s website. “We’re trying to expand our overall retail footing,” he said, “but her name hasn’t [gained] retail traction yet. [Stores] don’t believe it can appeal to the masses.”

Although the retail community may still be skeptical about the potential of the collection, Yates is continuing to build the franchise.  He emphasized that the reality star is hands-on when it comes to design.  “She’s extremely involved in the development,” said Yates. “She’s extremely particular. She didn’t just sign and walk away. She’s involved in every facet, from the website design to the slippers.”
