music. Gwen Stefani Creates Harajuku Mini for Target
Gwen announced: ‘Harajuku Mini is a dream come true’
Gwen Stefani, Rocker/Fashion Designer/Mom, creates her first children’s collection for Target to debut November 13th.
Harajuku Mini for Target, features clothes and accessories for infants, toddlers and tweens. This could be the most anticipated collaboration since Missoni’s last month.
‘I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the super-cute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan,’ Gwen said. ‘The whole idea is about being creative, expressing your own individuality and having fun getting dressed.’
She added that she had been given scope by Target to break from the typical children’s wear offering and do something different. Evident in the way she dresses her boys Kingston, five and Zuma, three, Gwen has transitioned her style to reach a whole new generation.
Like much of the singer’s fashion merchandise, the collection reflects a punk style rarely seen in children’s wear. Inspired by the street style of Japan’s Harajuku district, additional elements such as tartan, skinny jeans and chequered flag-inspired trims make this line uniquely desirable.
